Castries Shopping & Sightseeing Experience (Land Transportation)

Experience the best of Castries with this Shopping & Sightseeing excursion.  This guided tour starts with a 30 minute Van Transport from your resort to Castries Harbor where you will start with shopping at the La Place Carenage Duty Free Mall. 

Then 5 minute ride up the hill to Morne Fortune "Hill of Good Luck" for majestic views of the city and harbor as well as a stop at the alluring Governor General's Residence. 

Then back down the hill to visit the Historic Derek Walcott Square and The Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church.  A brief exit of the taxi will allow for photographs of the area as well as inside the church, pending services. 

Then another quick 5 minute  ride where we stop at another historic landmark, The Holy Trinity Anglican Church and the surrounding King George V Gardens to view the Statue of the Marquis de Castries. 

After viewing the grounds, we will walk over to the Castries Market where you will find everything you are looking for from the local vendors like craft, shirts, spices, etc. 

Lastly, we will take the final 5 minute ride to the Pointe Seraphine Duty Free Shopping area.  This is where you will find more of what the island vendors have to offer as well as a great photo opportunity at the famous "St. Lucia" sign.  Grab a drink at one of the bars and relax before we hop back on to the boat for our 15 minute trip back to Rodney Bay.  This excursion has an approximate duration of 3 hours. 

***Please note that entry into the church buildings requires proper attire.! No Hats, bathing suites, or revealing clothing.***
